Lights… Camera… Action!

The STAR of the night was young Mika in her coming of age Bat Mitzvah premier. The ingenue was supported by a cast of 250 family and friends to help celebrate the auspicious occasion. As the guests arrived at the red carpet event held at the classic Port Theater in Newport Beach, they were met with Hollywood themed red, black and white decor. Popcorn boxes, mini Oscars, stars, movie set clapboards and film reels adorned the gorgeous florals which were set upon various rich red linens supplied by Designer Specialty Linens.

No detail was spared! From the long tables for the kids to the more intimate round ones for adults. Areas to mingle and those to play were set up in various stations. A large Facebook-inspired board held a place for guests to write Mika a message. The kids unleashed their creativity at an Emoji craft table. Italian sodas were served up for even the youngest of the crew.

Adults were greeted with hand passed Patron Silver Agave Margaritas paried with Carmelized Chicken Mini Tacos finished with Chipoltle Aioli. The kids and adults alike couldn’t get enough of the Petite Chicken & Waffle Stix paired with Mini Cokes. Wild Mushroom Duxelle Dumpling Shooters, were finished with a Burnt Miso Sauce. And to top off the appetizer fun Mini Logo Pizza Boxes were passed with Mika’s favorite flatbreads.

The “Feature Presentation” was Braised Beef Brisket & Chicken Shawarma served over Toasted Brioche topped with Pickeled Red Onions, Pickled Green Apples and finished with Wild Arugula and Crumbled Stilton. These were served with our Horseradish Aioli Cucumber Tzatziki and Hummus. The Linx & Sliders won a supporting roll. Chicken Bratwurst and Chicken Sausage were served on Fresh Pretzel and Potato Rolls. Guests choose between Tenderloin, Seared Ahi and Chasen Burger Sliders served with a choice of various toppings, Sweet Potato Fries and Pomme Frites with various dipping sauces.

The “Farm to Table Billboard” consisted of an array of greens served with a plethora of delicious toppings all displayed in a creative vertical billboard.

The “Warm Food Wall” was a delightfully fun display of Lamb Shoulder Braised with Heirloom Tomatoes over an English Pea Cassoulet and Artichoke, Leed and Olive Topped Sea Bass served over a Potato & Caramelized Onion Hash. Each item was served in it’s own mini bucket kept warm over it’s own small candle.

After the traditional ceremonies and lighting of the candles, guests helped Mika celebrate becoming a full fledged member of the Jewish community music from a professional DJ, dancing, airbrushed tatoos, games, fog machine, laughter, toasts and of course a darling slide show featuring our star Mika!

The “Wrap Party” as a concession stand complete with Custom Popcorn, Salted Caramel Tartlettes, Petite Lemon Curd Meringue Tartlettes, Macroons, Mini”Smores, Handcrafted Candy Bars and a Fruit Kabob Tree.

A star studded evening for a very special young lady. CONGRATULATIONS MIKA!
