It is that time of year when it seems that talk is centered around brides and babies. The orange trees have begun to blossom, the jasmine is aromatic and showers are popping up nearly every weekend. Last weekend we had the pleasure of catering a shower for our own Adrienne’s sister!
The theme and the menu was of course baby so we went mini with a selection of yummy breakfast/brunch items sure to cure all of the expecting mother’s craving:
Mini Pancake Stack topped with a fresh blueberry and served with maple syrup
Mini Egg McMuffins (with egg and cheese)
2 kinds of Baby Quiche – Ham and Cheddar & Spinach and Swiss
We also offered a fresh spinach salad with green apples, goat cheese, dried cranberries and chopped walnuts with a light old world vinaigrette dressing. Fresh fruit and a cheese platter rounded out the main menu.
Dessert was to die for with an assortment of mini sweets and treats including:
Salted Caramel Tartlettes
Petite Lemon Curd Meringue Tartelettes
Mini Fruit Tartelettes
Mini French Macaroons in a delightful array of bright spring colors!
It was a beautiful day and we want to wish mom-to-be, Natalie much happiness with her new bundle. And a big congratulations to soon-to-be-AUNT, Adrienne!
