Raising the Bar!
Depending on the type of event and the size of your party, many of our clients choose to have stations or “bars” with which the guests can have made to order salads, main courses, desserts etc… With a plethora of ingredients to choose from, everyone can create the dish to their exact specifications and taste.
In this instance, we catered a fairly small 29th birthday party at a private home in Irvine. After the hand passed hors d’oeuvres, guests were directed toward the three entreé stations.
The “Risotto Bar” was a crowd favorite. The risotto chef served up the Italian rice and guests topped it with a variety of options including gruyere and smoked gouda cheese, sherried mushrooms, sundrided tomatoes, pancetta with white wine and lemon sauteed chicken.
The “Farm to Table Fresh Chopped Salad Bar” included a delicious spread of fresh veggies such as mini cucumbers, baby red and yellow tomatoes, grilled asparagus, white corn, shredded kale, edamame and farmers cheese. It was finished off with a white balsamic dressing.
Not pictured is our ever popular “Short Rib Martini Bar” which features mashed potatoes topped with ale and maple braised short ribs and porter battered shredded onions.
