Our job takes us many many places across Southern California. And we are all lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the country. But there is something special to us about Long Beach. Our offices and kitchen are there of course but also the community… While we are considered part of Los Angeles County, Long Beach sometimes has that small town feel. Residents and business people in our community love to support one another and the feeling of comradery is unparalleled. So we are always excited when we plan events for those that help make this town what it is.
The Port of Long Beach Commissioners dinner for Chief Executive Jon Slangerup was a fantastically fun event. The theme was 50’s diner and drive in. The food was retro with a modern gourmet twist. The evening took place at Automobilia – Price Transfer, a privately owned car garage and restoration center that houses one of SoCal’s most prestigious, vintage and classic, private car collections. It includes a fully working and restored 50s diner and vintage game room.
Our servers dressed in in black with old school diner hats serving the hand passed appetizers.
