Rancho Los Cerritos
Your event is an import day. Whether it is your wedding, an anniversay, a milestone birthday or another occasion, you want it to be unique and special. Here at TGIS, we have several venues we work at on a regular basis and would love to fill you in on the details of each. By finding out your expectations and desires, we can find the best location for your event.
One such unique location we love to cater at is the Rancho Los Cerritos Historic Site. The Historic Site was built in 1844 and echos with the rich history of Spanish, Mexican and American California and with the families who helped transform Southern California from its ranching beginnings to a modern, urban society. The site, a National, State and Long Beach Historic Landmark, also includes historic gardens and a research library and archives. It is owned by the City of Long Beach and operated through the Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine. The public museum is open for tours, programs and events.
As your guests arrive, they’ll be transported to the genteel era of early California ranchos. Have them gather for cocktails on the front patio, a tranquil area surrounded by pepper trees and native plants.
If you are booking the venue for a wedding, your guests can socialize over drinks, while you and your bridesmaids can sip champagne and put finishing touches on hair and makeup in the home’s cozy library off the tiled sun porch and courtyard.
